Me
“Tell me about yourself.”
The interview question I always dread. Because I definitely would like to tell you about myself— but what do I even know about myself?
I could always tell you my name and what I’m doing currently, but isn’t there more to a person than just that?
I don’t think I’ve fully discovered who I am as a person either. I’m not popular. I’m not special.
There was a point where I tried to be liked by everyone, because if people didn’t like me, they weren’t nice to me.
Then I realized I can’t be liked by everyone— and that’s okay. I just need to find people who do like me.
To tell you about myself would take more than a ten-minute talk.
You need to understand where I am currently and how I got here.
It’s a life story that can’t be summarized.
It’s more complicated.
It’s life.
