Hampi's boulders, a landscape surreal,
Where past and present conjoin and reveal.
Krishna Bazaar's market, once bustling and loud,
Silenced by time, yet its stories endowed
Virupaksha temple, a sacred embrace,
Carved pillars echo, ancient grace.
Vijaya Vittala's chariot in stone,
Sunset hues, a spectacle to be shown.
Vittala's musical pillars, a symphony in stone,
Notes of history, a melody to be known.
In the Royal Enclosure, tales unfold,
Of kings and queens, their stories are told.
Mahanavami Dibba, the stone platform rising towards the sky,
with tales of grandeur and glory etched on the side
Stepwell's descent, into this retreat,
The Queen's Bath is of course a royal treat.
In Hazara Rama's sanctum of tales,
Lord Rama's saga, the story unveils.
From the sacred Watch's towers,
To the Zenana Enclosure's hidden bower.
Elephant stables, still stand tall and grand,
The Still intact majestic domes across the land.
Through the Lotus Mahal's arched delight,
Queens once relaxed in this cool site.
Yet time's relentless march could not defer,
The fall of empires, a fate to incur,
But in the heart of those who dare to dream,
Vijayanagara lives on in each sunbeam.
Its legacy etched in the stones that stands,
As a testament to this ancient land,
Vijayanagara's story shall always endure,
In history's annals, bright and pure.
